Metal Cowboy Favorite! We'll cycle all 225 miles of the Katy
Trail,
America’s longest Rail Trail and we’ll relive a
little
Metal Cowboy history while doing so.  On the western leg of this adventure we’ll ride through the heartland of America passing many farms, and an abundance of Americana. As we head east we'll join up with the river and follow a section of the Lewis & Clark Trail where we'll ride beneath towering limestone bluffs, over railroad trestle bridges and through an old railroad tunnel. We’ll visit a winery and we'll even make a stop at the home of Daniel Boone! Along the way we will almost surely see Eagles, Buffalo, wild Turkeys and lots of other birds and small animals. Year End Epic Ride you don't want to miss- Just
because its mid fall doesn’t mean you have to stop exploring
by bicycle!
We designed this trip specifically for folks who’d
like
to get one last epic ride in for the year, and the Metal Cowboy himself
will be your tour guide extraordinaire! Starting in Nashville we’ll peddle down one of America’s premier designated cycling routes, the Natchez Trace Parkway. But it won’t be a cake walk! In order to complete all 440+ miles of this trip in 8 days of peddling you’ll have to peddle an average of 55 miles per day (some days will be longer) along rolling terrain.  Optional Activities: Hiking, Rockhounding, Bird Watching, Scenic Photography, Sightseeing, Shopping, Downhome dining and more. |
