Metal Cowboy Favorite! We'll cycle all 225 miles of the Katy
Trail,
America’s longest Rail Trail and we’ll relive a
little
Metal Cowboy history while doing so. ![]() On the western leg of this adventure we’ll ride through the heartland of America passing many farms, and an abundance of Americana. As we head east we'll join up with the river and follow a section of the Lewis & Clark Trail where we'll ride beneath towering limestone bluffs, over railroad trestle bridges and through an old railroad tunnel. We’ll visit a winery and we'll even make a stop at the home of Daniel Boone! Along the way we will almost surely see Eagles, Buffalo, wild Turkeys and lots of other birds and small animals.
