Below is a small sampling of original poems and Haikus I have written over the years.

Poems

The Divine Sea

With soaring spirit
Dancing bravely in a gossamer fantasy
Interweaving with the dawn of time
And knowing no limits

Not feeling pity nor shame
Not confined to the human cage
But free as we were meant to be
Drifting without need of purpose in the divine sea
Gary Hancq
Dream Sublime
When you open your heart
You open your soul
When you open your soul
You open your life

If you look deeply into my eyes
What will you see?
If I look deeply into yours
What will I see?

Within your eyes
Swims your very soul
Last night I dreamt
That I swam in your soul

Haikus
The following Haikus were written and submitted to a national newspaper for their weekly Haiku contest,
they name a subject and you must write a fitting Haiku.

The Moon
An Icicle
Lone Moon
Lone silvery moon
Light the lucid icicle
Outside my Window
Sad Moon
Sad moon in the sky
Sing for me a lullaby
Seed another day
Lonely Icicle
Lonely Icicle
How long you melted away
To birth a new day

A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature.
It is Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures
the depth of his own nature.
